Cat Farris comes in a little after the fact with her Janelle Monae piece!
Ron Randall adds to the Janelle Monae sketch fun.The electrifying Monae’s CD Archandriod is a marriage of a sprawling sci-fi concept to a sprawling mastery of funk, hip-hop and R&B. In Monae-Math, that’s like 1927 (the year of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis) plus 1962 (James Brown Live At The Apollo) equals 2719 (the year of The Archandroid). You can double-check the math yourself by tracking down “Archandroid” or just trust us: it all adds up!
